March 8 - Day 8

*Sigh* I miss grandfather and grandmother clocks.

Giggle moment: I love that it's labeled "Regulator." Natedog and Warren G., anyone? ;)

March 7 - Day 7

Took some apartment pictures today. I got to steal Heather's camera every once in a blue moon and got a decent sunset shot (not as good as hers, but, hey, I'm still learning).

March 6 - Day 6

Spent the night in an older home with lots of little knick-knacks. I think my favorite was this crazy looking cougar. The first is still my favorite because I got really close to the statue. Dangerous, I know. ;)

March 5 - Day 5

I will not let the fact that it snowed last night get me down. In fact, I've decided to take pictures of things with snow on them. Mostly because I like the snow chunks that sit on the twigs. Now, none of these are my favorites, although there are elements that I like of each one.

First of all, love the red branches. So much less dull than regular brown. Good job plants!

Once again, I'm a fan of the snow chunks. I just kept trying to get better shots of them and it didn't work very well.

Lastly, a wide shot. I'm horrified that buildings exist so I can't just take an angsty-looking picture of a stormy sky but, hey, that's what civilization is for, right? Also, I'm kind of a fan of those ice-tipped branches creeping their way in on the left.

**Edit** Do storm clouds surrounding a tor remind anyone else of Mt. Sinai?

March 4 - Day 4

I stare at this plant for hours on end each day. I decided that, to challenge myself, I'd see if I could catch it at an angle that I'm not used to and that didn't bore me. I finally decided I liked this:

I think the main reason I like this is because it make me feel like the plant is quite a bit taller than it actually is (the stem is only a few inches high). But, yeah, not my best, but I like it well enough.

March 3 - Day 3

All right, last "cheating" post, I promise. But, once again, I still took all of these.

I just happen to love taking pictures of people. It's the reason I love photography. So when my brain remembered that I am the ward historian and, therefore, required to take pictures at every ward event, my heart leapt a little. Even more so because Heather lent me her SLR (which is pretty much the most fabulous piece of equipment ever). Anyway, here are some of my favorites from Friday night:

Brent and Rachel. Aren't they saucy?

Ben and Camile. I love personal moments like this, when people aren't paying attention to the camera anymore. It makes pictures even more awesome. :)

Jackson and Julia. Absolutely tender. I love this picture for the same reason listed above.

Nothing too special about this picture except that I love it. Pictures are more fun when people play along with you.

Weston and Catherine. One word: smoldering. I love the shock on Weston's face and I don't blame him; Catherine is giving him one of those Looks!

David and Diane. Love this because of how much it fills the entire frame. Also, for the crazy lines. These two were some of my favorites to photograph.

Apartment 209. This has to be my favorite from this batch. These ladies are great. Creative, funny, and willing to do whatever. This shot is in trying to pick up Lauren directly from the floor. I just love the feel of it; everything is completely askew.

March 2 - Day 2

So, I'm cheating just a little because I took these pictures on Friday night. But I seriously took them with this blog in mind, so I'm posting them anyway, dang it. I just really liked the idea of the red, red rose and those pinstripes. Puts me in the mind of 20s mobs. *shrug* I like the first one more than the second. Also, I took, like, a dozen of these pictures (and someone kept walking in and making fun of me while I did so). Meh. :)

March 1 - Day 1

All right, I've decided to take on the "Picture a Day" challenge. I know I'm starting late, but I did want to start at the beginning of a month. Anyway, thanks to my lovely roommate Heather, I was able to borrow her (very, very nice) camera and take some pictures of Ronald, who wanted to look masculine on his motorcycle. I would like to thank Joel for loaning his bike helmet to the cause:
